Lola Blankets is looking for an Associate Software Engineer to join the eMoney team. This entry-level position focuses on creating quality code and improving technical skills while contributing to team deliverables. You’ll learn eMoney's design methodologies, business, products, and customer needs under mentorship.
What You'll Do
- Work within your team's scope and focus on improving your engineering craft.
- Learn the team's technology and business domain to apply knowledge independently.
- Create code that is free of glaring errors, well documented, and well tested.
- Learn and apply coding standards and best practices used within the team.
- Participate in the team's code reviews to learn how to be an effective reviewer.
- Translate ideas into clear, readable code that executes correctly.
- Ensure your code is promptly reviewed and merged.
- Refine stories for current and next iterations with some guidance.
- Familiarize yourself with Lean/Agile Principles and Practices used at eMoney.
- Escalate to your team or manager when stuck and reflect on improvements.
- Ask senior team members or your manager for clarification in a timely manner.
- Listen to understand others and ask clarifying questions.
- Keep your team and manager apprised of your work status and proactively seek feedback.
- Work with your manager to identify soft skills, competencies, and areas for improvement.
What We're Looking For
- A B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 0–3 years of professional software engineering experience.
