AC Disaster Consulting is hiring an Emergency Management Public Assistance Specialist (Junior, Mid, Senior levels)

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the management of public assistance programs during emergencies.
  • Provide support to applicants in navigating the public assistance process.
  • Conduct site inspections and damage assessments.
  • Prepare and review project documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Coordinate with various stakeholders, including applicants, government agencies, and contractors.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of public assistance policies and procedures.
  • Provide training and guidance to applicants and stakeholders.
  • Participate in emergency response and recovery efforts.
  • Assist in the development of public assistance grant applications.
  • Conduct outreach and education efforts to inform the public about available assistance programs.
  • Assist in the monitoring and evaluation of public assistance programs.
  • Provide technical assistance to applicants and stakeholders.
  • Assist in the development of public assistance program reports.
  • Conduct site visits to assess damage and verify eligibility for assistance.
  • Assist in the administration of public assistance funds.
  • Provide support to the public assistance program manager.
  • Assist in the development of public assistance program budgets.
  • Conduct public assistance program audits.
  • Assist in the development of public assistance program policies and procedures.
  • Provide support to the public assistance program coordinator.
  • Assist in the development of public assistance program guidelines.

Nice to Have

  • Master's degree in emergency management, public administration, or a related field.
  • Certification in emergency management or a related field.
  • Experience with FEMA Public Assistance Program.
  • Experience with disaster recovery and mitigation efforts.
  • Knowledge of GIS and mapping software.
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting tools.
  • Familiarity with emergency management software and systems.
  • Experience with grant writing and administration.
  • Knowledge of environmental regulations related to disaster recovery.
  • Experience with community outreach and education programs.
