AdventHealth is looking for an Emergency Department Tech to join our team on night shifts. In this vital role, you will be responsible for patient monitoring, maintaining emergency equipment, and performing unit liaison duties. You'll contribute to a culture that believes in the wholeness of each person, uplifting others in body, mind, and spirit.
What You'll Do
- Demonstrate competency in EKGs, cardiac monitoring, and BLS protocols.
- Monitor cardiac/telemetry status and vital functions of all patients.
- Perform as a Unit Liaison, handling physician communication, maintaining electronic logs, providing EMS radio support, and coordinating patient transports.
- Adhere to infection control policies and protocols to protect patients and employees.
- Use and maintain emergency equipment proficiently.
What We're Looking For
- High School Grad or Equivalent.
- Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS).
- Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) OR Emergency Medical Tech Cert (EMT).
Nice to Have
- 1+ year of healthcare or field experience.
