Responsibilities
- Design and adapt lesson plans throughout the academic year to align with student needs and goals
- Adjust teaching strategies to support learners at varying levels of proficiency and background
- Keep thorough, up-to-date records of each student's academic performance and developmental progress
- Apply instructional methods grounded in educational research to daily teaching and planning
- Establish and maintain clear behavioral expectations to support a productive learning space
- Foster an inclusive and encouraging classroom atmosphere conducive to language acquisition
- Use curricular materials that honor students’ varied cultural, linguistic, and educational experiences
- Uphold school-wide standards for behavior, respect, and community norms
- Engage families through regular communication about student academic and emotional development
- Integrate digital tools and technology to enhance language learning and classroom instruction
- Support school events and programs beyond the classroom when necessary
- Work collaboratively with fellow educators and staff to ensure student success
- Complete additional responsibilities as directed by school administration
