nVent is looking for an Electrician to contribute to our manufacturing operations. You will install, test, and maintain electrical and electronic systems, ensuring adherence to code and fostering a safe, efficient workplace.
What You'll Do
- Install and test electrical and electronic systems, circuits, and equipment.
- Install wireways, conduits, and cable trays to adhere to NEC code and customer specifications.
- Perform simple utility wire connections and understand electrical circuits.
- Read blueprints and perform conduit threading.
- Maintain and ensure tools are in good working condition.
- Train and mentor employees on your shift.
- Keep work areas clean and coordinated to ensure a safe environment.
- Prevent workplace injuries by following safety protocols and attending safety meetings.
What We're Looking For
- Vocational or technical degree in electricity or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of industrial or commercial electrical experience.
- Knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC).
- Experience with commercial and industrial equipment, MCCs, substation switchgear, and variable frequency drives.
Nice to Have
- High school diploma or GED.
- Master or Journeyman Electrician License.
