Responsibilities
- Generate precise quantity takeoffs and cost projections for moderately complex commercial electrical projects.
- Analyze construction drawings, specifications, and procurement documents to determine project requirements.
- Help compile comprehensive bid submissions, including scope summaries and necessary attachments.
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to secure pricing for materials and equipment.
- Detect discrepancies, missing information, and potential risks in bid documents and report findings to senior estimation staff.
- Apply reasoned assumptions during the estimating process and clearly document them within the estimate records.
- Engage in internal review sessions for estimates and implement revisions as directed.
- Attend site visits when necessary and document variances between design documents and actual field conditions.
- Support project handover discussions by supplying estimate details and clarifications.
- Monitor bidding activities, maintain updated estimate logs, and assist with post-bid follow-up tasks.
- Safeguard sensitive pricing data, estimating records, and internal company information.
- Carry out additional assignments as needed to support departmental and organizational objectives.
