About the Role

The role involves developing electrical designs and documentation for various infrastructure and building projects, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards.

Responsibilities

  • Develop electrical designs for infrastructure and facilities projects
  • Produce detailed engineering drawings and schematics
  • Perform load calculations and power system analyses
  • Ensure designs comply with national and local electrical codes
  • Support project management and coordination efforts
  • Collaborate with civil, mechanical, and structural engineers
  • Review contractor submittals and construction documentation
  • Conduct site inspections and provide field support
  • Prepare technical specifications for electrical components
  • Participate in design reviews and client meetings
  • Utilize CAD and BIM software for design development
  • Evaluate existing electrical systems for upgrades or retrofits
  • Design lighting systems for indoor and outdoor applications
  • Coordinate with utility providers for service connections
  • Assist in developing project budgets and schedules
  • Ensure integration of sustainable design practices
  • Support permitting and regulatory approval processes
  • Troubleshoot design issues during construction
  • Maintain accurate project records and documentation
  • Apply safety standards to all design deliverables

Nice to Have

  • Master's degree in Engineering or related field
  • PE license in good standing
  • Experience with photovoltaic system design
  • Working knowledge of ETAP or SKM software
  • Project experience in public sector infrastructure
  • Familiarity with sustainable design certifications
  • Experience managing design teams
  • History of delivering projects on schedule
  • Client-facing project coordination experience
  • Advanced proficiency in design automation tools
