Canva is hiring an Education Community Manager for a 12-month contract in the Netherlands. In this role, you will introduce teachers across the country to Canva for Education, fostering a passionate community at the intersection of marketing and grassroots engagement. You’ll be based in Amsterdam, leveraging local cultural understanding to build brand love and drive adoption.
What You'll Do
- Lead the growth and engagement of the Education Community program and online Teachers group, applying deep local cultural insights.
- Organize and execute impactful online and offline events, including meet-ups, workshops, and participation in local education conferences.
- Create and deliver culturally relevant educational content aligned with marketing objectives.
- Partner with the Growth Marketing Manager to conceptualize, plan, and execute integrated campaigns.
- Cultivate and expand our Canvassador community of volunteers who sustain local Canva communities.
- Collaborate with local partners, associations, and organizations to drive engagement and enhance community initiatives.
- Grow the active user base and increase awareness through data-driven marketing and competitive benchmarking.
- Act as the local expert on education trends to boost brand awareness and inspire creative marketing campaigns.
- Collaborate with the education sales team to identify growth opportunities within the Netherlands’ largest school systems.
What We're Looking For
- Deep experience in community management with a proven track record of growing and engaging thriving communities.
- Experience in senior marketing roles, particularly in education or edtech.
- Skilled with community management tools, including Canva, Facebook Groups, Discord, Hubspot, Mailchimp, Monday.com, Google Suite, and Looker.
- Experience in planning and coordinating both online and offline events.
- Confident public speaker with experience facilitating webinars and workshops.
- Creative thinker with content creation experience, including video editing, and a deep understanding of social platforms and trends.
- Strong analytical skills, turning complex datasets into actionable insights, with a deep understanding of Canva’s audiences.
- Excellent at cross-functional collaboration, working effectively with sales, growth, and social teams, and managing stakeholder relationships.
- Proficient in balancing long-term strategy with short-term needs, adapting quickly to market trends while focusing on data-driven marketing.
- Self-starter with strong execution and delivery skills, thriving in fast-paced environments with evolving priorities.
- Experience developing and maintaining relationships with partners and collaborating with government organizations and agencies.
- Fluent in both Dutch and English (written & verbal).
