LexisNexis Legal & Professional is hiring an Editor/Publisher II to ensure the quality of legal content. In this role, you will review, edit, and audit summaries, headnotes, and annotations created by Generative AI for caselaw documents. You will also draft original content, maintaining defined standards for timeliness and accuracy.
What You'll Do
- Review and edit AI-generated legal summaries and annotations for accuracy and clarity.
- Compare content against case text to ensure key legal principles and facts are correctly represented.
- Draft original legal summaries and annotations when required.
- Apply legal research and analytical skills to refine content.
- Ensure consistent adherence to quality, formatting, and timeliness standards.
- Collaborate with cross-regional editorial teams and adapt to evolving workflows and guidelines.
What We're Looking For
- A degree in law (LLB, JD, or equivalent).
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify key legal issues.
- Ability to work independently in a deadline-driven, remote environment.
- Proficiency with standard software tools (e.g., Microsoft Office) and willingness to learn new platforms.
- Reliable internet access and a suitable home working setup.
- Openness to working with AI-driven tools and adapting to new technologies.
- Based in Johannesburg OR Durban.
