Samsung Electronics Canada is hiring a Manager, Business Development (SC+). In this role as the Mobile Samsung Care+ Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the growth and innovation of Samsung Care+ programming. You will lead efforts to grow awareness and sales by expanding to new channels and creating innovative solutions.
What You'll Do
- Lead account management for key local insurance provider relationships to establish, manage, and grow device protection and service offerings.
- Manage day-to-day partner engagements, including sales performance reviews, commercial negotiations, contracts, go-to-market planning, and co-marketing.
- Explore new sales programs and revenue models with partners.
- Run day-to-day Samsung Care+ program performance tracking and analysis.
- Identify and project manage new local initiatives, from concept development to activation and performance tracking.
- Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and partner evaluations to develop new business program models.
- Develop and evaluate new business concepts and programs, assessing feasibility and business impact in areas like rental, subscription, or device refurbishment.
- Run pilot programs with partners to test new concepts and report performance to stakeholders.
- Create program guidelines and support scaled implementation.
- Facilitate cross-functional alignment across device sales, legal, finance, field service, and retail organizations.
- Liaise with global and regional counterparts to align on directions and report local updates.
- Develop and present program updates, new business plans, and product performance to senior stakeholders.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 10 years of business development experience in carrier/retail, electronics/mobile manufacturing, and/or device insurance.
- Experience and understanding of mobile care programs, customer service repair processes, and device trade-in.
- Experience with local insurance companies or third-party administrator partners.
- Experience negotiating and managing commercial partner agreements.
- Familiarity with mobile OEM device supply chain processes.
- Proven ability to navigate organizations and drive implementation.
- A track record of successfully managing senior-level relationships internally and externally to deliver sales.
- Analytical skills to inform logic with data.
- Proficiency with MS PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Deep knowledge and strategic experience in the mobile category.
Nice to Have
- Experience with retail channel and/or carrier operations including field force management, promotion mechanisms, processes, and performance tracking.
- Knowledge related to repair and distribution in the refurbished phone market.
