International Rescue Committee (IRC) is hiring an ECD Program Officer

Responsibilities

  • Develop monthly procurement and logistics plans for all early childhood development (ECD) activities.
  • Oversee implementation of logistics plans and ensure availability of necessary materials.
  • Conduct monthly stock checks and maintain accurate inventory records for ECD supplies.
  • Prepare and manage procurement documentation, purchase requests, and payment processing.
  • Ensure financial and administrative records are complete, accurate, and submitted on schedule.
  • Monitor budget allocations and submit monthly tracking reports on expenditures and needs.
  • Carry out regular field visits to training and implementation sites to assess progress and quality.
  • Follow up on training delivery, including attendance, logistics, and adherence to curriculum.
  • Provide on-site guidance to community-based organizations to resolve operational challenges.
  • Gather and document field-level feedback to inform adaptive program planning.
  • Support the implementation and follow-up of ECD and social-emotional learning (SEL) trainings.
  • Coordinate with relevant government ministries and stakeholders for program alignment.
  • Assist in organizing and facilitating coordination meetings with partners.
  • Maintain consistent communication with partner organizations for implementation and reporting.
  • Help strengthen partnerships and ensure alignment with national education priorities.
  • Support needs assessments and follow-up on evolving program requirements.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Senior ECD Officer.

Requirements

  • Relevant higher national diploma, university degree, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Approximately three years of experience in logistics, program support, or related areas.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in Arabic and English.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure and work effectively within a team.
  • Willingness and ability to conduct regular field visits across various locations in Jordan.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.

Nice to Have

  • Prior experience in education or early childhood development programs is advantageous.
  • Experience engaging with government agencies and stakeholders is beneficial.

Part of the ECD/Education team; collaborates with Supply Chain, Finance, Program Coordinators, and Program Managers; reports to the Senior ECD Officer
