U-Haul International, Inc. is seeking a part-time e-Live Verification Phone Agent to join our team. You will support our Truck Share 24/7 program by reviewing customer information to ensure it meets rental standards, approving dispatches, and providing excellent service through inbound/outbound calls and digital chat.
What You'll Do
- Claim and review customer sessions for Truck Share 24/7, answering questions and ensuring accuracy.
- Determine the proper course of action using provided instructional materials.
- Make outbound calls to verify alternate contacts.
- Communicate with customers via phone and chat efficiently and courteously.
- Ensure compliance with U-Haul policies to maintain customer loyalty.
- Review and respond to telephone, mail, and internet procedures within specific time frames.
- Listen to, document, and resolve customer concerns when possible.
- Assist multiple customers simultaneously via digital or chat channels.
- After training, assist customers online and on inbound phone calls at the same time.
What We're Looking For
- Good listening, verbal, and written communication skills in English.
- 1 year of phone customer service experience.
- Excellent customer service, logic, reasoning, time management, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask and assist multiple customers at once.
- Reasonable and predictable attendance with availability to work holidays.
- Must have 25 hours of availability per week, including Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (6 hours on both Saturday and Sunday).
- A quiet, private work area at your home address.
- Must be present with camera on and microphone unmuted during training or meetings.
- Dependent and child-care arrangements must be made as if working at a U-Haul site.
- Must pass a Computer Specs test, a Facial Recognition Assessment with an 80% score, and a Computer Literacy and Typing Assessment.
- Required technical setup: Windows 11, 16GB RAM minimum, CPU benchmark score of 6,000 minimum, SSD with 5GB free space, external or built-in webcam, wired USB headset, internet ping under 100, download speed of 50MB minimum, upload speed of 5MB minimum.
Nice to Have
- Inbound call/phone experience, with high-volume experience highly preferred.
- Technically savvy.
- Recommended technical setup: 32GB RAM, CPU benchmark score of 10,000, download speed of 100MB, upload speed of 10MB.
Team & Environment
You will work independently after initial training, with continued education, counseling, and coaching from leadership.
