Pratt & Whitney, part of RTX Corporation, is hiring a remote DT SAP MRP Solution Architect. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, configuring, testing, and implementing SAP Material Resource Planning system solutions. You will manage reusable and scalable designs across business units and operationalize MRP capabilities to support critical manufacturing strategies.
What You'll Do
- Define the overall structure and components of the SAP MRP system.
- Develop and provide input to influence strategic business roadmaps for MRP.
- Support the deployment of the SAP S/4HANA MRP solution, ensuring alignment with business requirements.
- Lead the configuration and deployment of MRP solutions, including integration with other platforms like PLM, MES, APO, and Kinaxis systems.
- Tune MRP parameters (lead times, safety stock, time fences) to align with manufacturing strategies such as make-to-stock and make-to-order.
- Actively participate in software architecture and design, process improvement, and communicate design specifications to team members.
- Partner with various teams (engineering, manufacturing, supply chain) to document and optimize core business processes related to production and supply chain.
- Continuously improve system configuration and business processes based on evolving needs and industry best practices.
- Play a direct role in programming, maintenance, technical support, documentation, and administration of SAP MRP applications.
- Develop strategies to solve complex technical challenges.
- Provide technical and functional expertise to ensure MRP solutions meet business objectives, are reliable, and scalable.
- Drive successful implementation of projects to achieve proposed benefits by utilizing organizational change-management skills.
- Drive innovation and act as a change-agent.
- Lead continuous improvement activities to improve application performance, quality, and reliability.
- Ensure production applications meet agreed upon service level expectations.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Management Information System, Information Technology, or related technical field and 10+ years of hands-on applicable work experience; OR an Advanced degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related technical field and 7+ years of hands-on applicable work experience.
- Strong functional and technical knowledge of SAP MRP, Production Planning, and MM Modules.
- Knowledge of production planning, inventory management, procurement, and related business processes.
- Proven experience implementing and scaling ERP systems including specific modules related to manufacturing and supply chain.
- Ability to integrate the MRP system with other enterprise systems (PLM and MES).
- Extensive experience with ABAP programming and debugging in MM (Material Master), MRP (Material Resource Planning), PP (Production Planning) modules of SAP.
- Experience with complex batch job scheduling.
- Experience with business strategy skills including strategy development.
- Experience with agile and waterfall software development methodologies.
- Demonstrated proficiency with software development lifecycle processes.
- Ability to work effectively across various levels of the organization.
- Attention to detail, deadlines, and reporting.
- Strong time management skills and efficient in multi-tasking.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Ability to demonstrate leadership capabilities.
- Individual must be highly motivated, self-driven and proactive on assignments.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Nice to Have
- Master's Degree.
- Technical and functional experience in S/4 HANA implementation.
- Technical experience and working knowledge in APO and Kinaxis.
- Technical experience with the TIDAL or RunMyJobs batch scheduling systems.
- Experience with Linux/Unix environment and scripting.
