About the Role
The role involves ensuring drone missions are executed safely and efficiently through planning, monitoring, and evaluation, while supporting integration of new technologies and responding to operational needs.
Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate flight missions for unmanned aerial systems
- Monitor drone operations in real time to ensure mission success
- Analyze post-mission data to assess performance and identify improvements
- Support development and refinement of mission protocols
- Troubleshoot technical issues during flight operations
- Collaborate with engineering teams to relay field performance feedback
- Maintain accurate records of all mission activities and outcomes
- Ensure compliance with aviation and safety regulations
- Assist in testing new drone capabilities and software updates
- Provide operational input during system design phases
- Respond to urgent mission requirements and time-sensitive deployments
- Train team members on mission procedures and safety standards
- Coordinate with external agencies when required for airspace access
- Evaluate environmental conditions affecting flight operations
- Support integration of drone data into broader operational systems
- Develop mission briefings and debriefings for stakeholders
- Maintain situational awareness during complex multi-drone operations
- Contribute to risk assessments before mission execution
- Ensure secure handling of mission-critical data
- Work cross-functionally to align mission goals with technical capabilities
Nice to Have
- Master’s degree in a relevant technical discipline
- Professional certification in unmanned systems operations
