Responsibilities
- Evaluate new driver development through assessments and provide coaching to both drivers and mentors, using data to determine readiness for solo operations.
- Develop trusted relationships with incoming drivers, offering consistent support during their training period.
- Track each new driver's advancement, assessing skill growth and stepping in when needed to improve competency and performance.
- Monitor key performance metrics for both trainees and mentors, aiming to meet departmental standards for quality and satisfaction.
- Advocate internally for trainee needs, investigating and resolving issues to support driver retention.
- Regularly attend or join meetings between drivers and supervisors, helping align expectations and deliver effective solutions.
- Ensure driver pay is processed accurately and on time.
- Coach Driver Leaders on effectively onboarding drivers transitioning to their teams.
- Oversee timely delivery of engaging onboarding materials and lead orientation sessions that connect drivers with company culture, including DOT and internal medical requirements.
- Remove applicants from consideration if they fail drug testing or hiring standards, and consult leadership on other disqualification issues.
- Remain certified as a collector for DOT and non-DOT urine and hair sample testing.
- Manage all pre-employment tasks including file completion, reference checks, compliance testing, and documentation to keep hiring on track.
- Collaborate proactively across teams to help meet organizational goals.

- Employees may be scheduled for weekend, second, or third shifts depending on driver training demands.
- Remain certified as a collector for DOT and non-DOT urine and hair sample testing.
- Disqualify candidates who fail drug tests or hiring requirements, and escalate additional concerns to leadership.
- Ensure all pre-hire processes—including file completion, reference verification, compliance testing, and documentation—are completed efficiently to support hiring timelines.
