About the Role
The selected candidate will provide technical and programmatic support to the Department of Energy's National Nuclear Security Administration in advancing environmental management and sustainability goals, ensuring adherence to federal regulations and promoting best practices in environmental stewardship.
Responsibilities
- Support federal environmental compliance and sustainability programs
- Conduct environmental assessments and regulatory reviews
- Assist in the development and implementation of environmental management plans
- Coordinate with federal stakeholders to ensure alignment with policy objectives
- Analyze environmental data and prepare technical reports
- Participate in program evaluations and performance tracking
- Provide recommendations for improving environmental performance
- Ensure adherence to federal environmental regulations and standards
- Facilitate interagency communication on environmental initiatives
- Support sustainability reporting requirements
- Develop and maintain environmental documentation
- Engage in project planning for environmental remediation efforts
- Contribute to environmental policy development and implementation
- Assist in the coordination of environmental audits
- Monitor emerging environmental regulations and trends
- Support public communication efforts related to environmental programs
- Participate in cross-functional teams to address environmental challenges
- Provide technical input on environmental impact statements
- Support training development for environmental compliance
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal environmental directives
- Work on long-term environmental stewardship strategies
- Contribute to environmental risk assessments
- Assist in grant and funding proposal development for sustainability projects
