The Document Production Specialist is responsible for creating and managing high-quality legal documents that meet strict accuracy and timing standards. You will collaborate with case handlers, legal support staff, paralegals, and business development professionals, ensuring deliverables are completed efficiently and to a high standard. This role operates in a fast-paced setting where precision, discretion, and reliability are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, format, and finalize legal documents with a high degree of accuracy and consistency
- Transcribe audio recordings quickly and correctly, maintaining content integrity
- Collaborate with other production specialists to ensure seamless workflow and timely outputs
- Manage multiple assignments simultaneously, adapting to shifting priorities without compromising quality
- Maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive legal information
- Utilize document cleaning tools and formatting software to ensure compliance and professionalism
Qualifications and Skills
You should have prior experience in document production within a legal or professional services setting. Proficiency in Microsoft Office—particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio—is essential, along with hands-on experience in iManage and document optimization tools such as DocXTools. Familiarity with Visual Files 2 and EveryFile is an advantage.
We’re looking for someone with excellent proofreading abilities, a methodical approach to work, and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently. Strong organizational skills, clear communication, and sound judgment are critical, as is the confidence to engage with professionals across departments.
Work Environment
This is a hybrid role based in Glasgow, with a schedule that includes two days per week in the office and the flexibility to work remotely for the remainder. You’ll be part of a team that values collaboration, continuous improvement, and adherence to best practices in document management.
