DNEG is hiring a Supervising Editor (Stereo) to lead the technical and creative efforts of the global stereo editorial team. In this role, you will ensure the smooth running of high-end film projects, support production with efficient information flow, and mentor the team to deliver the highest quality assets.
What You'll Do
- Supervise and lead the technical and creative efforts of the global stereo editorial team.
- Support the production team in ensuring accurate and efficient flow of information.
- Lead and mentor the Stereo editorial team through technical and creative challenges.
- Train assistant editors and dailies editors.
- Oversee the completion of a whole asset with both visual and technical approaches.
- Ingest media turned over by clients, checking all media against client reference to ensure correct frames are received.
- Properly break out shots to the proper frame range.
- Manipulate EDLs (Edit Decision Lists).
- Convert timecodes to frame numbers.
- Deliver elements.
- Manage dailies screening sessions and create timelines with Infinity.
- Configure the screening room and manage the timeline with the stereographer and coordinator.
- Manage client review sessions with the stereographer, in person or via TVIPS.
- Conduct sequence reviews.
- Perform quality control on shots delivered to the client and annotate any detected issues.
- Collaborate with the pipeline team to develop automation tools.
- Edit demo reels at the end of View-D projects.
- Organize client demonstrations for business, marketing, and other executive teams as requested.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 5 years of high-end feature film experience related to 3D conversion.
- Proven team leadership experience within a professional environment of digital artists.
- Ability to meet demanding deadlines while retaining a high-quality level of work.
- Experience with rendering and problem solving.
- Strong working knowledge of stereoscopic workflows in Davinci Resolve.
- Experience working with Digital Intermediate vendors for final conform.
