Eli Lilly Canada is looking for a District Sales Manager - Ontario South - Cardiometabolic Health to lead a team of sales professionals. You will be responsible for exceeding sales targets, developing business, coaching your team, and executing a district action plan aligned with our company’s mission to make life better for people around the world.
What You'll Do
- Deliver on District sales targets ethically and in compliance with Lilly’s core values.
- Develop a district action plan aligned to promoted brands and business unit strategy.
- Set clear performance goals with a road map for achieving them.
- Coach your team to high performance, developing selling skills and implementing omnichannel customer engagement plans.
- Recruit and develop sales consultants that contribute to a diverse and inclusive culture.
- Provide superior customer experiences through tracking and evaluating execution of customer plans.
- Engage and recognize your team.
- Ensure sales insights are brought into the customer planning process.
- Personally build professional relationships with key Cardiometabolic Health Thought Leaders in the district.
- Drive innovative thinking across the sales team to respond to the changing environment.
- Manage and adhere to the Ontario South district sales budget.
- Ensure the team understands the current compliance environment and operates with integrity, holding the team accountable for deviation from compliance expectations.
- Challenge processes that negatively impact customer experience.
What We're Looking For
- A University degree.
- 3-5 years of Pharmaceutical or Medical sales experience.
- For external candidates: a minimum of 5+ years of experience leading people as a sales manager.
- Demonstrated leadership, coaching and communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills to make data driven decisions and strategic territory management experience.
- Demonstrated Thought Leader management capability.
- Demonstrated understanding of value-based interactions and omni-channel engagement.
- Proficient with use of industry standard IT hardware and software.
- Must live within the Ontario South district.
- Travel where overnight is required – approximately 10% on average but could be as high as 50% during peak times.
Nice to Have
- For internal candidates: a preference for people management experience.
- A preference for Cardiometabolic Health disease state knowledge.
- A preference for experience in cross functional roles supporting Sales.
- A preference for bilingual proficiency (French and English).
