UCB is hiring a District Sales Lead Dermatology

About the Role

We are seeking a District Sales Lead (DSL) Dermatology to lead, motivate, and inspire a team of Clinical Account Specialists (CAS) within the assigned district of California, Washington, and Oregon. In this role, you will be responsible for coaching and developing your team to engage healthcare professionals and build lasting relationships that create the best experiences for patients.

What You'll Do

  • Lead a team to raise our presence in the Dermatology marketplace and ensure execution of the business strategy for your assigned segment.
  • Coach and develop a results-oriented team to understand and apply in-depth clinical expertise, business acumen, and effective selling skills.
  • Build relationships with Key Dermatologists and KOLs within the district to facilitate long-term partnerships.
  • Develop and coach your team to a strong understanding of the patient journey of care, including the unique needs of patients.
  • Establish an understanding of the local health care ecosystems, including the payor environment.
  • Demonstrate our Patient Value Strategy principles by establishing collaborative, team-oriented working relationships within a matrix environment.
  • Strategically manage all allocated resources such as financial budgets, samples, access opportunities, and home office resources.
  • Deliver consistent, compliant sales results by motivating, inspiring, leading, and directing the activities of your sales team.
  • Navigate the complexities of local care delivery systems, models, and payors with varying degrees of restriction and barriers regarding patient access.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the competitive marketplace and drivers of prescriber decisions.
  • Ensure collaboration with local business partners to deliver our Dermatology value proposition.
  • Maintain team compliance with all training requirements.
  • Behave compliantly with all policies and approved messages, coaching the team to use only approved materials with HCPs and external stakeholders.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS).
  • A minimum of three (3) years of successful management experience of a team selling in Dermatology.
  • 3 years direct selling experience to healthcare professionals in the pharmaceutical, biotech, device, or healthcare industry that has included:
    • Selling in the Medical Dermatology space.
    • Experience with injectable biologics products; launch experience preferred.
    • Discussing therapeutic strategies to inform and influence clinical decision makers.
    • Developing and applying clinical and business expertise, and effective selling skills.
    • Executing marketing strategies at the local level.
  • Resides within the assigned geography of California, Washington, or Oregon.

Nice to Have

  • 5 years of successful management experience of a team selling in Dermatology.
  • 5 years direct selling experience to healthcare professionals in the pharmaceutical, biotech, device, or healthcare industry.

You will lead a team of Clinical Account Specialists (CAS), integrating within a collaborative matrix environment.

Work Mode

This role follows a local-country work mode. Candidates must reside within the assigned geography of California, Washington, or Oregon.
