LinkedIn is hiring a Distinguished Software Engineer, Systems Infrastructure to join the Solstice Team. You will help build a next-generation engineering system designed to improve engineering leverage across LinkedIn and accelerate Microsoft's AI stack. The mission is to re-platform massive GPU-scale inference and training infrastructure onto a modern, high-velocity foundation.
What You'll Do
- Drive the engineering systems vision spanning hermetic builds, continuous deployment, cryptographic supply chain integrity, infrastructure-as-code, and identity/security.
- Partner directly with senior engineering leaders across LinkedIn and Microsoft to define technical strategy, set the quality bar, and drive execution from prototyping through production migration.
- Help define business and technical strategy and drive alignment cross functionally.
- Head cross team and cross functional discussions to align on technology strategy.
- Actively improve the level of craftsmanship by developing best practices and strategies.
- Define the bar for quality and efficiency of software systems, balancing business impact, operational impact, and cost.
- Establish a culture that values diverse viewpoints while navigating complex decisions.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of relevant work experience.
- Experience leading technical projects with multiple stakeholders.
Nice to Have
- PhD in a relevant field or equivalent research experience.
- 10+ years experience in building infrastructure at scale, with at least 5 years in a technical leadership position.
- Experience building large scale infrastructure, distributed systems, and AI Platforms.
- Experience leading large scale development projects from concept to multiple releases in production.
- Experience of technical leadership guiding and mentoring engineering and operations talent.
- Experience leading high-impact, cross-company initiatives.
