Allergan Aesthetics, an AbbVie company, is looking for an AWS Cloud Application Engineer to identify and implement advanced technology platforms that drive efficiency across multiple business areas. In this role, you will critically evaluate and integrate technological advances into new business solutions.
What You'll Do
- Design and operate large-scale AWS cloud services, including troubleshooting and performance tuning.
- Build Cloud Native Services using REST APIs, microservices architectures, and containerized technologies.
- Develop high-scale distributed systems with fault tolerant design.
- Apply Agile and Test-driven development methodologies.
- Manage the software development lifecycle, including version control (git), CI/CD pipelines, testing, and regional cloud deployments.
- Adhere to corporate standards for code of conduct, safety, GxP compliance, data security, and the software development lifecycle.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor's Degree with 7 years of experience; Master's degree with 6 years of experience; or PhD with 2 years of experience in the Information Technology industry.
- Strong hands-on experience developing applications on the AWS cloud.
- Proven record of implementing creative technology solutions that advanced the business.
- Experience working with Java, Python, or other modern programming languages.
- Excellent written and oral English communication skills.
Nice to Have
- Pharmaceutical industry experience strongly preferred.
- A passion to learn new software technologies.
