About the Role

The individual will oversee the development and implementation of online education strategies, support faculty in course design, and ensure academic quality across virtual platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the planning and rollout of online courses and programs
  • Work with faculty to develop and improve digital course content
  • Assist in training instructors on learning management systems
  • Monitor compliance with academic and accreditation standards
  • Troubleshoot technical issues related to online platforms
  • Maintain course schedules and enrollment timelines
  • Support student access to virtual learning resources
  • Evaluate course effectiveness using performance data
  • Facilitate communication between IT staff and academic departments
  • Organize professional development for remote teaching staff
  • Ensure accessibility standards are met for all digital materials
  • Manage documentation for course development workflows
  • Coordinate with instructional designers on curriculum updates
  • Track student feedback and suggest improvements
  • Assist in onboarding new distance education faculty
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of e-learning technologies
  • Support assessment and accreditation reporting processes
  • Promote best practices in online pedagogy
  • Oversee the archiving of course materials
  • Liaise with external vendors for platform support
  • Develop orientation materials for online learners
  • Ensure data privacy in digital learning environments
  • Coordinate pilot programs for new teaching tools
  • Report on distance education metrics to leadership
  • Foster collaboration among remote teaching teams

Compensation

Salary commensurate with experience
