CVS Health is hiring a District Support Pharmacist (Part-Time) to ensure continuity of pharmacy services. In this role, you will travel within your assigned district to cover scheduling gaps, support pharmacy operations, and act as a role model and proxy for the Pharmacy Manager.
What You'll Do
- Travel within the district to fill scheduled pharmacist shifts.
- Oversee the pharmacy and serve as the Pharmacy Manager's proxy during bench shifts without overlap.
- Support safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following and directing pharmacy workflow procedures.
- Assume the Pharmacy Manager's day-to-day duties when serving as the only or primary pharmacist-on-duty.
- Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy, collaborating with healthcare teams, and resolving issues.
- Proactively offer and deliver immunizations; engage and support Pharmacy Technicians to learn to immunize.
- Support effective management of pharmacy inventory, with a focus on protecting cold chain products.
- Remain flexible for scheduling and business needs while contributing to a safe, inclusive team dynamic.
- Maintain relevant clinical and technical skills through required trainings and CMEs.
- Support pharmacist-delivered clinical care such as testing and prescribing services where permissible.
- Understand and comply with all relevant laws, regulations, professional standards, and CVS Health policies.
What We're Looking For
- Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located.
- Active National Provider Identifier (NPI).
- Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list.
Nice to Have
- 1-2 years of related work experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting.
Team & Environment
Works within the district under the direction of the Pharmacy Manager (PM) and Rx District Leader (DL).
