Responsibilities
- Gain in-depth knowledge of display technologies, optical performance, and underlying principles.
- Understand touch panel technology and operational mechanisms.
- Master optical bonding techniques and their integration in display systems.
- Possess expertise in display driving electronics, interfaces, and microprocessor-based digital and analog circuits.
- Advance new display and touch panel technologies for future automotive applications.
- Interpret customer needs and convert them into technical display specifications.
- Define and evaluate display concepts using input from cross-functional teams and customer demands.
- Design and develop displays for automotive use, including instrument clusters, infotainment systems, and head-up displays.
- Establish, coordinate, and monitor display development milestones in sync with overall product timelines alongside project managers and technical leads.
- Serve as the primary project lead responsible for delivering display solutions to customers.
- Lead the full development cycle, from concept and architecture to design validation, supplier negotiations, performance optimization, and engineering release.
- Ensure compliance with project execution and quality assurance standards throughout display development.
- Manage supplier relationships and serve as the main technical contact for all display-related matters.
- Maintain ongoing communication with suppliers to identify emerging technologies, cost-effective solutions, and value-adding opportunities.
- Assist in preparing component PPAP documentation and securing function ISIR approval.
- Collaborate with Supplier Quality Management on resolving and improving display quality issues.
- Participate in supplier Product Change Notices and Product Technical Notification processes.
- Provide technical support for display-related challenges across projects.
- Lead failure analysis and resolution efforts for LCD-related problems.
- Contribute to benchmarking activities for displays and related technologies.
- Support initiatives to reduce display component costs through design or sourcing improvements.
- Deliver training sessions within R&D to enhance team-wide display technology understanding.
- Coordinate supplier technology days and demonstration events for knowledge sharing and innovation scouting.
