About the Role
Responsible for leading tax and accounting functions, ensuring compliance, delivering strategic client advice, and managing team performance within a professional services environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage all stages of tax planning, compliance, preparation, review, and research activities
- Utilize tax software including UltraTax CS, Microsoft Office, and QuickBooks with proficiency
- Maintain comprehensive understanding of current tax laws and regulatory changes
- Assess how tax, regulatory, and industry-specific factors affect clients and advise accordingly
- Prepare a variety of tax returns such as individual, fiduciary, corporate, partnership, and multistate filings
- Collaborate effectively within a team while maintaining strong client relationships
- Lead and coordinate complex accounting projects in collaboration with the accounting team
- Exercise meticulous attention to detail in all work product
- Review engagement documentation, resolve issues, and inform leadership of key developments
- Oversee engagement phases including staffing, planning, and scheduling
- Supervise and mentor junior accountants, providing performance feedback and progress evaluations
- Build specialized knowledge in designated areas of responsibility
- Support administrative tasks as directed by partners
- Identify opportunities to expand services for existing clients and improve internal efficiencies
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Holding an active CPA license
- At least seven years of professional experience in a CPA firm
- Ability to reliably commute or willingness to relocate prior to employment start date
- Capable of working independently and collaboratively in a team setting
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities
- Detail-focused with strong multitasking, prioritization, and time management skills
- Demonstrates a positive attitude and commitment to organizational priorities

Annual salary range of $140,000 to $160,000, adjusted based on experience and qualifications
