Role Overview
As Director of Technology Infrastructure and Cybersecurity, you will shape and lead the global technology environment for a distributed organisation operating across multiple regions. You are responsible for ensuring secure, reliable, and high-performing infrastructure that supports 24x7 international operations. This role combines strategic oversight with hands-on leadership across cloud platforms, cybersecurity, end-user computing, AV systems, and third-party service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the global strategy for infrastructure, cybersecurity, and digital workplace services in alignment with organisational goals
- Ensure high availability, performance, and security of core systems across all locations
- Lead the design and implementation of secure cloud environments, primarily on Microsoft Azure, with support for hybrid and remote work models
- Manage supplier relationships, including contract negotiation, SLA monitoring, and performance evaluation
- Develop and maintain robust incident response, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans
- Establish operational standards and procedures using ITIL frameworks and ITSM platforms
- Drive standardisation while adapting to regional regulatory and operational requirements
- Oversee the lifecycle management of end-user devices, collaboration tools, and AV infrastructure for global meetings and events
- Lead the Information Security Group to coordinate risk assessments, policy enforcement, and security awareness initiatives
- Monitor cybersecurity threats, respond to incidents, and implement proactive detection and remediation measures
- Optimise infrastructure costs and resource allocation across internal teams and external providers
- Report on service performance, risks, and improvement initiatives to senior stakeholders
- Support enterprise risk management through infrastructure-focused input and controls
- Build and lead a distributed team or vendor ecosystem to support global operations
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent professional experience
- Proven leadership in technology infrastructure and cybersecurity within international, multi-site environments
- Deep technical knowledge of cloud platforms—especially Microsoft Azure—and enterprise networking
- Experience managing outsourced services and leading vendor engagements
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, compliance standards, and risk management practices
- Familiarity with 24x7 operational models and high-availability systems
- Proficiency in ITIL and experience using ITSM platforms
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to make sound decisions under pressure and drive solutions in complex environments
Preferred Background
- Knowledge of AWS environments
- CISSP certification

This position supports a globally distributed footprint with teams in Beijing, Frankfurt, London, Montreal, San Francisco, and Tokyo.
