B. Braun Avitum is seeking a Director Supplier Quality Management to lead the Supplier Quality Management department for the Aesculap division at our Tuttlingen site. You will manage the team both professionally and disciplinarily, serving as the central point of contact for suppliers and ensuring the quality of all sourced components.
What You'll Do
- Lead the Supplier Quality Management team professionally and disciplinarily.
- Drive quality-related topics and improvement initiatives as the central contact for suppliers.
- Plan and conduct product and process audits to ensure the quality of all sourced parts.
- Take responsibility for inspection plans and the creation and negotiation of quality assurance agreements with your team.
- Master challenges within the supply chain and ensure the availability of all sourced articles through close collaboration with strategic and operational purchasing.
- Ensure the implementation of central quality requirements and regulatory/normative standards by continuously developing and optimizing supplier quality management.
- Promote team members through targeted qualification measures and support them in executing their tasks.
- Personally manage key suppliers on-site, with a willingness to travel nationally and internationally.
What We're Looking For
- Completed degree in engineering or industrial engineering, or equivalent training with extensive professional experience.
- Several years of experience in a supplier quality environment.
- Deep technical understanding of regulations in medical technology, particularly ISO 13485, EU-MDR, and ISO 14971.
- Negotiation and contract-secure communication skills in English.
- Comprehensive knowledge of SAP and MS-Office applications.

- Familiarity with the production processes of medical products.
