McKesson, a Fortune 10 healthcare leader, is looking for a Director, Strategic Initiatives to play a key role in transforming its Provider Solutions business within the US Pharmaceutical Segment. In this remote position, you will identify and implement strategic programs by analyzing data to create actionable recommendations and managing high-stakes, complex initiatives to deliver targeted value.
What You'll Do
- Support the end-to-end identification, scoping, and delivery of strategic initiatives, maintaining responsibility for deliverables, timelines, and stakeholder relationships.
- Proactively engage stakeholders to drive progress and, where necessary, deliver on key imperatives directly.
- Develop robust business cases and program governance structures to meet or exceed targeted outcomes.
- Build trust and productive relationships with team members and stakeholders across the organization.
- Influence and gain acceptance of ideas through effective communication, insightful analysis, and creative thinking.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of company products, competition, and market dynamics shaping the business context.
- Act as a strategic thought partner and business partner to key leaders, contributing to discussions beyond your own projects.
What We're Looking For
- 10+ years of relevant experience (minimum requirement).
- Undergraduate degree in business, finance, technology, healthcare, or a related field.
- 10+ years in strategy, operations, transformation consulting, or relevant industry roles (e.g., FP&A).
- Strong executive presence and the ability to work with and influence senior leaders.
- Comfort with ambiguity and the skill to logically structure issues and recommend resolutions.
- Strong program management and operations experience.
- Strategic thinker capable of making connections across workstreams and matrixed organizations.
- Superior project management skills, with experience successfully managing cross-functional teams on complex projects.
- Ability to generate and execute creative ideas to make communications engaging.
- Ability to work well under pressure and navigate tough situations professionally.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively as a self-starter.
- Excellent proficiency in MS PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.

- MBA or graduate degree.
