About the Role

Sarah Cannon Research Institute (SCRI), a subsidiary of McKesson, is hiring a Director, Shared Support Services. This critical leadership role within McKesson Canada’s Specialty Health division delivers strategic and operational support to accelerate business performance. You will act as a trusted business partner, enabling data-driven decision-making and unlocking value for McKesson and its biopharma and provider customers.

What You'll Do

  • Lead, develop, and empower the Shared Support Services team, creating a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous learning.
  • Promote a collaborative, customer-centric mindset aligned with McKesson’s mission and long-term goals.
  • Provide strategic direction to the Contract Management function, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and alignment with business needs.
  • Lead the evolution of a Contract Management Centre of Excellence to standardize processes, embed best practices, and improve cycle times.
  • Establish and maintain a robust billing compliance framework to ensure contract terms are accurately implemented and auditable.
  • Partner with Legal, Finance, and Operational leaders to manage contractual risks and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee development of dashboards and tracking systems for monitoring contract performance and compliance KPIs.
  • Provide strategic guidance and support on complex contract negotiations, renewals, and escalations.
  • Lead the development and execution of enterprise-aligned training strategies to support organizational transformation.
  • Collaborate with business units to identify training needs and deliver scalable, role-specific learning solutions.
  • Ensure training content and delivery methods are modern, engaging, and measurable.
  • Champion a culture of learning and development across Specialty Health.
  • Oversee the development and governance of standard operating procedures across project management, change control, and documentation.
  • Establish performance measurement frameworks using tools like Power BI to enhance visibility and drive accountability.
  • Lead audit readiness efforts and partner with cross-functional teams to address audit risks and findings.
  • Oversee maintenance of business continuity plans for Specialty Health to ensure operational resilience.
  • Act as a strategic advisor to Specialty Health verticals, supporting priority initiatives and driving execution at pace.
  • Build strong partnerships with Finance, Quality, and other corporate functions to ensure integration and alignment.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience.
  • Proven leadership and people management capabilities with a track record of building high-performing teams.
  • Experience applying advanced principles to complex business settings with competing priorities.
  • Ability to work under consultative direction toward long-range targets and proactively learn new concepts and software.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
  • Creative problem-solving ability and skill in collaborating with various stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; results-oriented and driven.
  • Ability to develop and facilitate high-quality presentations.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to approach issues from several perspectives.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office products (Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint, Word) and hands-on experience with Power BI.

Nice to Have

  • MBA or Master’s degree.
  • Experience in the healthcare or biopharmaceutical industry, particularly with patient support programs, pharmacy operations, or specialty healthcare.
  • Recognized expertise in manufacturer-facing analytics and data-driven strategies within healthcare.

Team & Environment

You will lead a diverse, multidisciplinary team across Contract Management, Training, and Operations Support. This role is part of McKesson Canada’s Specialty Health division and reports to the Vice President, Strategic Execution & Operational Excellence.

Benefits & Compensation

  • Compensation Range: $124,800 - $208,000
