JLL is seeking a Director, Operations Technology Strategy to join our team. In this role, you will work with stakeholders across business service lines, corporate functions, and technology to define the firm's functional architecture. You will identify gaps in our automation toolkit, assess and trial products, and onboard selected solutions to address business problems, ensuring deliverables are tangible and support strategy execution.
What You'll Do
- Act as a subject matter expert in Automation, primarily low-code/no-code technologies, from an opportunity identification and solution design perspective.
- Identify functional capability gaps and investigate tools for evaluation.
- Develop functional requirements and success criteria for product evaluation.
- Manage and run POCs working with IT, business, and vendors.
- Develop business case and high-level target deployment view.
- Input into contracting and negotiations.
- Develop functional design best practices for replication, re-use, and efficient delivery.
- Create product awareness and influence adoption.
- Develop product adoption opportunity landscape and track product adoption.
- Fully exploit product feature usage to improve ROI and expand the scope of applicability.
- Collect user feedback, do periodic industry scan, and feed into product roadmap to vendor/IT.
- Contribute to functional architecture definition.
- Handle product onboarding and product rationalisation.
- Influence product roadmap.
- Develop operating model for how to optimise configuration/utilisation of the tool, including product development model.
- Develop RACI/governance model for the product.
- Design product management requirements (e.g., system outages, production incidents).
- Articulate cost of ownership for the product based on anticipated consumption model.
- Agree vendor engagement strategy and feedback loop on functional requirements.
- Build and maintain effective communications with key stakeholders, cross functional leaders, and project team members.
- Guide and support project team members where necessary.
- Implement best practices to reduce complexity, improve scalability, reusability, security, and increase efficiency through standardisation.
- Provide support in performing QA testing and supporting User Acceptance Testing as needed whilst establishing the broader capability.
- Deliver regular and customised training to the support team.
What We're Looking For
- 15-20 years of experience in automation product management, ideally within a firm with a well-established transformation agenda.
- Extensive professional experience and awareness of Intelligent Automation tools, with a very good understanding of generative AI, AI, and ML concepts.
- Significant experience with RPA technologies – ideally Automation Anywhere or MS Power Platform.
- Significant experience with other Automation technologies: gen AI, workforce management, workflow, OCR, email management, process intelligence.
- Experience in process intelligence and data transformation tools.
- Experience in BPM workflow technologies.
- Direct experience of major international business transformation projects.
- Experience of working across multiple jurisdictions to identify opportunities for migrations/location strategy rightsizing.
- Diverse industry and functional backgrounds gained through consulting or elsewhere.
- Demonstrated credibility in having previously delivered Automation identification, strategy, design, and implementation programmes.
- Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal. Able to work effectively at all levels in an organization. A collaborative team player.
- Project management skills: knows how to effectively structure, staff, and manage projects and teams.
