Sparrow is looking for a Director of Sales to lead and develop our team of Account Executives. Your leadership will have a direct impact on the growth of our fast-paced, high-growth company. You will own recruiting, onboarding, ongoing training, development, and sales execution for the team.
What You'll Do
- Manage, coach, and scale a team of Account Executives.
- Assist your team throughout their strategic sales cycles by deeply understanding customer needs and mapping them to the value of Sparrow.
- Monitor sales performance: activity, pipelines, quarterly forecasts, and closed deals to ensure quota attainment.
- Regularly report on team and individual results through pipeline management and forecasting.
- Identify and make recommendations for improvement in the areas of process, efficiency, and productivity.
- Be responsible for a consistent customer acquisition strategy to generate growth and exceed quarterly targets.
- Work closely with functions and other leaders across the organization to establish and develop strong and collaborative partnerships.
- Manage the overall sales process and set appropriate metrics for sales funnel management.
- Plan and manage at both the strategic and operational levels.
What We're Looking For
- BA/BS Degree.
- 5+ years in software and/or applications sales.
- 2-5 years of sales leadership experience.
- Able to accurately forecast team performance.
- Consistent overachievement of quota and revenue goals.
- Experience selling deals in the mid-market space.
- Strong communication skills and executive presence for dealing with some of the company's largest clients.
- Ability to collaborate across teams, navigate organizational challenges, and develop solutions to position the business for continued growth.
- Solid track record of recruiting, developing, and retaining a high-performing sales organization.
Nice to Have
- Experience selling to HR leadership and executives.
Team & Environment
This position reports to our VP of Sales.
Benefits & Compensation
- Compensation: $175,000-$225,000 OTE based on experience with a 60/40 base/commission split.
Work Mode
This is a hybrid role based in San Francisco.
