Vox Media is hiring a Director of Podcast Franchise Strategy & Growth to lead strategy and growth initiatives for the top shows in its podcast portfolio. You will serve as the operational business lead for key podcast franchises, combining strategic planning, financial management, and operational excellence to drive sustainable growth. You will work closely with host talent and editorial teams to run and grow their shows and broader media businesses.

What You'll Do

Manage and grow high-priority podcast franchises, collaborating on operational priorities, audience development, revenue initiatives, and talent relationships.
Identify new growth opportunities through market analysis and lead strategic planning processes with clear operational milestones.
Own financial reporting and analysis for podcast franchises, including P&L management, revenue forecasting, and preparation of quarterly business reviews for leadership.
Monitor and optimize KPIs across audience, revenue, and operational metrics.
Identify and evaluate potential partnerships, acquisitions, or licensing opportunities to support franchise monetization.
Manage cross-functional priorities and communications between editorial, sales, marketing, and production teams to ensure progress and alignment.

What We're Looking For

Experience leading workstreams and teams in management consulting, investment banking, private equity, venture capital, or portfolio operations.
Exceptional strategic thinking and communication abilities with experience managing and engaging with senior audiences.
Ability to independently manage multiple complex projects.
Strong project management capabilities and entrepreneurial mindset.
Ability to work effectively with both creative and business stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
A sharp analytical toolkit, with fluency in financial modeling.

Nice to Have

Experience in media, entertainment, or the podcasting industry.
Familiarity with the creator economy and digital media business models and monetization strategies.

Permanent, full-time, benefits-eligible position.

Compensation range: $130,000 - $170,000 USD.

Work Mode

This is a local, in-office position in New York.
