Lead the financial strategy and integrity of a rapidly scaling healthcare organization dedicated to gender-affirming care. As Director of Finance and Accounting, you'll shape financial planning, accounting operations, and treasury oversight while ensuring compliance, accuracy, and strategic insight across all financial functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct financial planning, forecasting, and annual budgeting in partnership with executive leadership, aligning financial strategy with organizational growth.
- Oversee month-end close, financial reporting, and analysis, delivering timely and accurate insights to support decision-making.
- Manage tax compliance and planning for quarterly and annual filings, serving as the primary contact for complex tax matters.
- Lead treasury strategy, including cash flow forecasting, allocation, and policy development across corporate entities.
- Supervise the Accounting Manager and offshore team, ensuring daily operations and monthly close are executed efficiently and accurately.
- Develop and maintain financial standard operating procedures to ensure compliance, scalability, and operational excellence.
- Oversee invoicing, expense management, and interdepartmental financial requests, resolving systemic or escalated issues.
- Support multi-entity financial structuring, including intercompany agreements and cash allocation strategies.
- Use data to identify trends, drive improvements, and translate financial results into strategic narratives for leadership and partners.
- Collaborate across departments to mature business operations through standardized frameworks and tools.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- 10+ years of leadership experience in accounting or finance, ideally within healthcare, digital health, or high-growth environments.
- Deep understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Proven experience with NetSuite; proficiency in Google Workspace and financial modeling required.
- Strong analytical skills with a track record of solving complex financial challenges.
- Experience managing remote teams and operating in fully remote environments.
- Demonstrated commitment to equity, inclusion, and mission-aligned healthcare.
Preferred Experience
- CPA certification.
- Experience with Ramp, Bill.com, and multi-entity accounting structures.
- Background in telehealth or mission-driven organizations.
