Hope House, Inc. is looking for a Director of Finance to lead strategic financial management, reporting, and oversight. This full-time, in-office leadership role is crucial for an organization committed to saving lives and restoring families affected by Substance Use Disorders.
What You'll Do
- Review financial records for vouchering of grants and contracts.
- Review and approve all accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions, including collections, write-offs, and payments.
- Review all bank and investment reconciliations.
- Supervise the Staff Accountant.
- Manage daily cash flow for payment purposes and prepare annual cash flow projections.
- Ensure general ledger accounts and coding are maintained for effective operational representation and reporting.
- Prepare timely and accurate monthly and annual financial statements, plus reports for the Finance Committee and board meetings.
- Coordinate with managed care companies to ensure timely payment for services.
- Manage the annual outside audit, work with auditors, and coordinate gathering supporting materials.
- Work with various funding sources to ensure proper vouchering and timely receipt of funds.
- Record acquisition and disposal of capital and fixed assets.
- Head Finance Committee meetings and lead the Finance Department portion of Board of Directors meetings.
- Maintain contract agreements and supporting documentation.
What We're Looking For
- Non-profit experience is required.
- Proven experience in a financial leadership role with a track record of success in strategic financial management.
- Experience in managing and leading a team, fostering professional growth and collaboration.
- Demonstrated proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with stakeholders.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools, including ERP systems and advanced MS Excel.
- High ethical standards and integrity in handling sensitive financial information.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Nice to Have
- Master’s Degree in Accounting or a related field.
- CPA certification.
- Extensive non-profit accounting experience, which may be substituted for a Bachelor’s Degree.
