About the Role
Provide medical leadership to advance the development and delivery of therapies for Spinal Muscular Atrophy. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to generate real-world evidence, support regulatory submissions, and ensure scientific accuracy in communications.
Responsibilities
- Lead medical strategy for SMA within the Integrated Center of Excellence
- Collaborate with clinical development teams to align medical plans with product lifecycle goals
- Design and oversee real-world evidence studies to support product value
- Serve as medical expert in interactions with external stakeholders
- Support regulatory and payer requirements with scientific data
- Guide development of medical materials for internal and external use
- Partner with commercial teams to ensure compliant scientific exchange
- Lead cross-functional initiatives to address unmet medical needs
- Monitor and interpret emerging scientific data in neuromuscular diseases
- Advocate for patient-centered care approaches in medical planning
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards
- Mentor junior medical affairs staff and support team development
- Represent medical perspective in global and regional teams
- Evaluate new therapeutic developments in the SMA landscape
- Support launch readiness activities for pipeline assets
- Coordinate with health economics experts to strengthen value dossiers
- Engage with key opinion leaders to gather insights and build partnerships
- Oversee medical input into advisory boards and expert panels
- Contribute to publication planning and dissemination of clinical data
- Ensure timely responses to complex medical inquiries
- Support pharmacovigilance efforts through medical review and signal detection
- Align medical activities with global access strategies
- Drive adoption of innovative digital tools in medical engagement
- Promote ethical standards in all medical interactions
- Stay current with regulatory guidelines affecting medical affairs activities
