American Iron and Metal is looking for a Director of Business Development, U.S. to drive and execute our commercial growth strategy across the automotive and recycling value chain, with a strong focus on catalytic converter sourcing and automotive strategic supply initiatives. This senior leader is accountable for delivering sustained growth in volume, margin, and profitability across the U.S. market.

What You'll Do

Lead and execute business development and commercial strategies aligned with company objectives.
Identify and secure new sources, strategic partnerships, and market opportunities.
Develop and implement sourcing strategies that strengthen our competitive position.
Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing commercial team across multiple U.S. territories.
Drive commercial targets tied to volume, margin, and deal conversion.
Foster a performance-driven culture centered on accountability, ownership, and results.
Ensure accurate pipeline management, forecasting, and alignment to performance expectations.
Lead regular commercial reviews focused on growth and deal execution.
Maintain data integrity and enforce disciplined performance tracking across the organization.
Monitor market conditions, competitive dynamics, and pricing trends within automotive, metals, and commodities.
Provide actionable insights to support sourcing strategy, capacity planning, and growth initiatives.
Contribute to annual planning, budgeting, and commercial forecasting processes.
Partner closely with Operations, Logistics, Administration, and Finance to ensure commercial commitments align with execution capabilities.
Collaborate with other Business Development leaders to ensure consistency in strategy and execution across territories.

What We're Looking For

Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field.
8+ years of experience in U.S. business development, commercial leadership, or sales management.
Demonstrated success in leading business development or commercial teams at scale across multi-territory environments.
Experience driving business growth through disciplined execution, strategic partnerships, and strong leadership.
Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with a track record of driving volume growth and profitability.
Ability to operate comfortably in a remote, high-travel, field-based role with 50–75% travel, both international and domestic.

Nice to Have

Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent).
Experience in automotive, recycling, metals, or related industrial supply chain environments.
