DaVita is hiring a Director, Insurance Management (ROPS) to lead operational oversight and strategy for a key segment of our Insurance Management Team. As part of the broader Patient Support and Insurance function, you will empower patients with knowledge and tools for informed insurance decisions. This role may be considered remote.
What You'll Do
- Drive patient insurance retention and reduce rates of uninsured.
- Challenge the status quo to identify and implement transformative operational changes.
- Identify and influence strategic business relationships, both internally and externally.
- Develop and implement strategic planning initiatives that maximize insurance retention.
- Establish short and long-term team goals based on key performance metrics.
- Oversee processes to ensure effectiveness and identify improvements.
- Identify areas for improvement and create plans to resolve performance gaps.
- Break down complex problems and develop robust solutions.
- Create solutions for common patient insurance challenges and education needs.
- Develop an understanding of systems and support departments impacting patient insurance.
- Synthesize analyses, translate them into specific actions, and gain buy-in across teams.
- Maintain current knowledge of healthcare revenue operations issues and trends.
- Coach, motivate, and develop teammates through feedback and development opportunities.
- Lead a large, diverse, and dispersed team.
- Build partnerships with Field Operation Divisional Vice Presidents and Senior Vice Presidents.
- Build relationships within the revenue cycle organization and across diverse departments.
- Synthesize numerous data sources and translate critical analysis into specific actions.
- Prepare and communicate insights, milestones, and recommendations to executive leaders.
- Prepare executive-level presentations for Revenue Operations and Field Operations leadership.
- Collaborate closely with senior leaders and frontline teammates across field operations, insurance support, and patient engagement.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Minimum of five (5) years of related experience required.
- Experience implementing complex processes across multiple geographies.
- Experience with strategic planning and implementation of large, complex new initiatives.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Ability for overnight travel 3-4 times a year for meetings.

You will lead a large, diverse, and dispersed team as part of DaVita's broader Patient Support and Insurance function, overseeing a segment of the Insurance Management Team (IMT).

- Compensation range: $115,000.00 - $183,000.00 per year.
