Ambry Genetics Corporation is hiring a Rare Disease Area Sales Director for the Central Region to lead our sales efforts in this critical territory. In this role, you will be responsible for increasing laboratory sales revenue through market penetration and the promotion of our portfolio of genetic diagnostic testing services. Your focus will be on advocating the clinical and financial benefits of our products to all levels of the healthcare system.
What You'll Do
- Lead and manage a team of 6-8 Account Executives and Senior Account Executives.
- Create and implement effective sales strategies for the Account Executive team.
- Provide leadership through clear communication, active coaching, and development, comparing results to goals and taking corrective action.
- Provide supervision through field visits and observations.
- Maintain competitive knowledge to create and adjust sales strategies.
- Manage the sales territory, including national expansion in major metropolitan areas.
- Expand menu utilization within existing accounts.
- Sell genetic diagnostic testing services to new customers.
- Negotiate and manage contracts.
- Introduce new testing products to the market.
- Develop and implement customer-specific action plans.
- Develop and deliver presentations.
- Host and assist with trade shows.
- Manage customer data in the company database.
- Achieve established sales goals.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor's of Science Degree or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience selling laboratory services to clinicians and hospitals.
- 7+ years of prior managerial experience in sales.
- Skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint applications.
- Skilled using CRM applications such as Salesforce.com or Microsoft CRM.
- A strong track record of sales success selling a broad portfolio of laboratory testing to different medical specialties.
- Ability to sell technically complex products.
- Expertise with demand creation in a large geography.
- Strengths in networking and relationship development.
- Strong oral and written communications skills.
- Some formal sales training experience such as SPIN Selling or PSS.
- Strong time and territory management skills.
- Open to and enjoy travel, 50%+ in a multi-state territory.
Nice to Have
- Experience with the customer base within the Central Region territory.

Benefits & Compensation
- Compensation: $150,000 - $200,000 per year.
Work Mode
This is a remote position open to candidates located in KS, NE, AL, AR, IL, LA, MS, MO, OK, or TX.
