LIV Golf is hiring a Director, Player & Team Communications to develop and implement integrated communications strategies for our 13 Team golf clubs and 52 players. You will work closely with the Communications team, league departments, and external partners to align all communications—spanning league initiatives, events, media engagement, and offseason activities—with the league's core narrative.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate with League and Team business partners to develop and implement Communications strategies that support each Team's unique brand awareness and positioning.
- Provide strategic counsel for Team Communications related matters and efforts.
- Support player onboarding and ongoing media training with GMs, players, and agents.
- Create and maintain relationships with key business and media partners to increase visibility of Teams & Players.
- Support Team & Player media relations and PR efforts, including press release development and distribution, maintaining media lists, and liaising with media.
- Implement and monitor reporting metrics to measure reach and impact of communications and identify areas of success and opportunity.
What We're Looking For
- A proven track record with 5-7 years of experience in Communications and/or Public Relations.
- Highly polished communication and writing skills.
- Ability to conceptualize, develop, and execute strategic planning.
- Experience in extremely fast-paced, evolving environments and/or startups.
- A self-starter possessing a strong news sense and a proven ability to tell impactful stories.
- Ability to work in a matrixed environment and collaborate with business partners to deliver strategic objectives.
- Results-oriented with the ability to act quickly and decisively with good judgement.
- An enthusiastic approach to managing competing priorities.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and travel if necessary.
Nice to Have
- Experience preferably within sports for a league, franchise, or college/university.
- Experience across athlete communications, media training, and event communications.
- An advanced-level degree, preferably in Communications.
- Global event experience, preferably in the sports industry.
- A passion for sports, entertainment, and culture.
