About the Role

Lead Public Relations for Korea

Shape and execute communications strategy in South Korea, ensuring local efforts reflect both global brand direction and regional nuances. Work closely with global teams to adapt messaging, maintain consistency, and uphold brand integrity across markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with global PR and communications leads to align timelines, messaging, and strategic priorities
  • Adapt international narratives for Korean audiences, ensuring cultural relevance and clarity
  • Design and implement communication plans tailored to local market trends, media landscape, and regulatory environment
  • Develop and sustain relationships with key journalists across business, technology, and broadcast media
  • Identify and secure media placements, interviews, bylines, and speaking opportunities
  • Organize press briefings, media events, and exclusive story rollouts to strengthen visibility
  • Respond swiftly and effectively to breaking news and time-sensitive developments
  • Coordinate with digital and social media teams to ensure unified messaging across platforms
  • Ensure all PR activities support both brand growth and business outcomes

Qualifications

Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree and have at least eight years of experience in public relations or corporate communications. Native fluency in Korean and professional proficiency in English are required. Demonstrated ability to interpret global strategies and adapt them effectively for local execution is essential.

  • Background in multinational organizations with centralized reporting structures
  • Proven success collaborating across time zones and with remote teams
  • Established network within the Korean media industry
  • Experience managing sensitive public-sector communications
  • Ability to balance urgent local demands with long-term global strategy

Work Environment
