The Director of Carbon Program Implementation will lead the execution and scaling of Perennial's soil-based carbon removal verification programs. This role works across science, technology, and agriculture to deploy trusted standards and tools that verify climate-smart agriculture and enable decarbonization across the food supply chain.
What You'll Do
- Lead the implementation of Perennial's carbon verification programs for soil-based carbon removal
- Work cross-functionally to deploy trusted standards, tools, and technologies for climate-smart agriculture
- Utilize advanced remote measurement technology to monitor soil carbon sequestration and land-based GHG emissions
- Fuse machine learning, ground observations, and satellite data to map soil carbon at continent-level scales
- Support the decarbonization of the food supply chain through scalable verification solutions
What We're Looking For
- Proven leadership experience in carbon program implementation or environmental project management
- Deep understanding of soil carbon sequestration and agricultural GHG emissions
- Experience working at the intersection of science, technology, and agriculture
- Ability to work in a mission-driven, collaborative environment
Nice to Have
- Background in remote sensing, machine learning, or satellite data applications for environmental monitoring
- Experience with carbon markets or climate verification standards
- Familiarity with venture-backed tech startups or climate innovation sectors
