Role Overview
As the IFS Technical Lead, you will shape and sustain the technical foundation of a globally deployed IFS Cloud environment. You'll lead critical functions including security governance, environment lifecycle management, release coordination, and data integrity initiatives, ensuring alignment across project and operational teams worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and refine security frameworks based on least privilege, role segregation, auditability, and automated provisioning and deprovisioning workflows.
- Guide the ongoing management of access controls, supporting the BAU team and resolving complex permission issues.
- Define standards for environment configuration, refresh cycles, data masking, and test data usage to maintain stability and compliance.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, interfaces, and platform baselines.
- Monitor platform health, coordinate tuning efforts, and oversee routine maintenance with technical stakeholders.
- Own the release schedule and oversee deployments for service updates, configurations, integrations, and patches.
- Conduct impact assessments, dependency reviews, and regression planning to ensure safe change implementation.
- Enforce change and version control processes, ensuring full traceability and adherence to governance policies.
- Lead deployment cutover activities, ensuring repeatable, documented, and auditable procedures.
- Track release performance metrics to identify improvement opportunities in deployment quality and reliability.
- Design and oversee data migration strategies, including cleansing, validation, reconciliation, and audit readiness.
- Drive standardisation of naming conventions and lead data remediation efforts across the platform.
Qualifications and Experience
You bring deep technical expertise in IFS Cloud, with proven mastery in security models, data migration techniques, and release lifecycle management. Your background includes managing complex environments in multinational settings, with strong command of SQL, PL/SQL, REST and OData APIs, and IFS Connect. Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar tools is preferred, as are certifications in IFS or ITIL. You thrive in audited environments governed by standards such as SOx, GDPR, or ISO, and apply disciplined ITIL practices across change, incident, and problem management.
