Responsibilities
- Sort, process, and archive hard- and soft-copy foreign language materials under the direction of a collection manager, requiring attention to detail and adherence to a strict process, using state-of-the-art scanning and other digitization technology.
- Assist in the creation and analysis of metadata and a data catalog
- Occasional translation services, including the translation of some electronic and multimedia metadata to and from English and the source-language materials
Requirements
- Familiarity with U.S. national security perspectives on China
- Demonstrable experience working with foreign-language materials
- Current enrollment as a student or status as a young professional

- This is a semester-long paid fellowship
- Fellows will work alongside seasoned analysts
- Work supports a capstone project focused on metadata exploitation and large-scale analysis of foreign-language publications
