Citizen is hiring a Digital Marketing Manager

About the Role

Citizen is looking for a Digital Marketing Manager to execute hands-on content and campaigns across our key marketing channels. You'll write copy, create assets, engage communities, and optimize campaigns that keep our marketing engine running.

What You'll Do

  • Publish daily posts, write copy, and engage on Citizen’s social channels (TikTok, Instagram, X, YouTube).
  • Develop quick-turn assets (short-form video, graphics, captions) using Figma, Canva, or similar tools.
  • Write clear, compelling messaging for social, emails, and influencer partnerships.
  • Execute keyword updates, creative refreshes, and testing to improve app visibility (App Store Optimization).
  • Help manage and grow our network of content creators and local city influencers.
  • Assist with email marketing campaigns and new market launches as needed.
  • Monitor metrics, track KPIs, and share insights to inform improvements.

What We're Looking For

  • 2-3 years of hands-on digital marketing experience across social, app store, or lifecycle channels.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented; able to juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Deeply fluent in social media trends and platform best practices (especially Instagram, TikTok, and X).
  • Skilled in Figma and Canva; Adobe Suite and video editing tools are a strong plus.
  • Comfortable working with data; experience with social analytics platforms and Google Sheets.
  • An exceptional writer and editor with strong instincts for storytelling, tone, timing, and trends.
  • A true team player with a self-starter mindset and strong sense of accountability.

Nice to Have

  • Background in growth or performance marketing (even at a support level).
  • Basic understanding of lifecycle marketing.
  • Prior work in mission-driven or real-time content environments (news, safety, tech).
  • Experience working in a mission-driven or news-adjacent environment.

  • Figma, Canva, Adobe Suite, video editing tools, social analytics platforms, Google Sheets

Team & Environment

You’ll report to the Senior Marketing Manager and work closely with designers and the product team to deliver on monthly goals.

  • Salary range: $80,000-$100,000 per year + equity.
