Digital Court Reporter – Independent Contractor
We're looking for qualified digital court reporters to support legal proceedings across Arlington, NY, Poughkeepsie, and nearby regions. This independent contractor role offers flexibility in scheduling and includes both in-person and remote assignment opportunities.
What You'll Do
- Attend local and travel-based reporting assignments as needed
- Deliver accurate, high-quality recordings and transcripts by established deadlines
- Upload and download case materials using secure digital systems
- Learn and follow internal reporting protocols and workflow tools
- Ensure timely completion of all assigned projects
What You Need
- Completion of a recognized court reporting training program or equivalent field experience
- Ownership of functional digital reporting equipment
- Experience with legal or courtroom procedures
- Strong professionalism and attention to detail
- Reliable transportation for local and travel assignments
- High-speed internet access and basic computer proficiency
- Current U.S. bank account for direct deposit payments
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
