LVT is seeking a Digital Content & Assignment Editor to be at the center of our newsroom’s real-time coverage. This role ensures every major story reaches audiences wherever they watch—live on television, streaming, or online—by blending the editorial urgency of a traditional assignment editor with the execution skills of a digital producer.
What You'll Do
- Monitor scanners, wires, and social feeds for breaking news
- Coordinate linear and digital coverage and set up interviews
- Provide seamless collaboration between linear, streaming, and digital teams
- Deploy reporters, photographers, and LiveU/TVU technology
- Communicate real-time updates across the newsroom
- Monitor and quality-control live field feeds
- Launch and manage live streams on FOX Local, YouTube, mobile, and CTV
- Write and publish fast, accurate web stories
- Create VOD clips during breaking news and major events
- Optimize headlines, descriptions, and metadata for reach
- Publish vertical and social-first content for platforms like Instagram and TikTok
What We're Looking For
- Strong news judgment and calm decision-making under pressure
- Experience launching or managing live streams
- Comfort writing fast, accurate web stories
- Familiarity with YouTube publishing best practices (titles, thumbnails, tags, audience retention)
- Understanding of how content performs differently across platforms
- Experience with live transmission technology or willingness to learn
- A collaborative mindset and effective communication skills
- Availability to work weekends, holidays, and irregular hours as the job requires
Nice to Have
- A 4-year college degree
- 2 years’ experience as a digital producer or assignment editor
