Fox is seeking a dynamic Executive Producer to oversee the production of the popular evening news for WTXF-Fox 29. The ideal candidate is an innovative leader with a proven track record, a tireless work ethic, and a 24/7 approach to managing the news team.
What You'll Do
- Manage all news coverage for evening newscasts, taking responsibility for the overall look and feel of the shows.
- Work closely with anchors to craft their shows, and guide reporters, writers, editors, and assignment editors on all editorial and production issues.
- Take a hands-on role in script production, utilizing strong writing skills to review and approve content.
- Editorially run the control room during live, breaking news events.
- Leverage understanding of ratings, meters, and audience flow to attract and grow a demographically driven audience.
- Bring fresh, creative ideas to the table on how to continuously evolve and improve our broadcasts.
What We're Looking For
- At least 5 years of experience as a TV Newscast Producer in a major market, OR at least 2 years of experience as an Executive Producer in a major-to-middle-sized TV market.
- Exceptional news judgment and a deep knowledge of current events.
- Strong working knowledge of TV production techniques and newsroom computer systems.
- Excellent communication and people skills, with a proven ability to manage and develop on-air talent.
Nice to Have
- Four-year college degree.

- Compensation: $100,000.00-$113,000.00 annually
