The Walt Disney Company and ABC7 Los Angeles are looking for a Newswriter/Newscast Producer to join Southern California's news leader. You will play a key role in serving a diverse audience in the country's second largest market, with a focus on owning big story coverage.
What You'll Do
- Write and produce for weekend and weekday morning newscasts as assigned
- Perform linear editing of video and booth newscasts
- Work with reporters, editors, directors, and others to shape stories and newscasts
What We're Looking For
- A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
- Must be a self-starter with great news judgment who thrives on breaking news and deadline pressure
- An efficient and excellent writer
- Organized, collaborative, and good at managing people and resources
- An eye for impact, relevance, and moments that connect with viewers
- Ability to effectively use social media to gather and distribute news
- Willingness to work holidays, weekends, and overnights
- A Bachelor’s degree
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of Dalet, non-linear editing, and Ross XPression

Benefits & Compensation
- Compensation: $24.50 to $42.50 per hour
