The Walt Disney Company is seeking a Digital Video Associate Producer to support the creation and delivery of high-quality digital video for ESPN’s UK and international audiences. This office-based hybrid role in London involves regular weekend shifts and varying hours.
What You'll Do
- Identify trending, 'must-see' moments from games or social platforms and translate them into engaging digital video opportunities.
- Partner with internal and external teams to create and distribute content that activates new audiences.
- Analyze usage and performance metrics to drive content enhancements.
- Manage production timelines to ensure projects are executed on time.
- Maintain proficiency in the latest trends, technology, and best practices for digital video on YouTube and ESPN's platforms.
- Ensure all edits meet ESPN’s editorial, visual, and brand standards for accuracy and research.
- Hit deadlines for daily content and larger productions independently.
- Technically optimize content for YouTube and web best practices, including metadata, titles, descriptions, and thumbnails.
- Be dependable on shoots and during fast-turnaround moments.
- Represent the team professionally in cross-functional meetings.
- Make sound editorial calls when reacting to breaking news or fast-moving sports stories.
- Spot potential issues regarding rights, accuracy, or tone and escalate appropriately.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in digital video production and distribution, ideally within sport or entertainment.
- Identifiable experience working on a branded YouTube channel.
- Strong editing skills with Premiere Pro as essential.
- A good understanding of the YouTube platform.
- Shooting experience, with the confidence to go on solo shoots.
- Strong editorial judgement and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and deliver against tight deadlines.
- A passion for sport and awareness of key news cycles, events, and personalities.
